Family Cemetery at John Greenleaf Whittier Birthplace : These are the ancestors of John Greenleaf Whittier, the famous Victorian poet. This small cemetery is in the backyard of the Whittier Family Homestead, where John was born. He himself is not buried here but here in Amesbury at the Union Cemetery.
