In Memory of
Mr. ANDREW DODGE
who departed this life
Sept. 22, 1828;
aged 57 years.
Here lies his body in this cold womb
of mother earth a solem tomb.
It is the house prepared for all
both rich and poor and great and small.
Why then repine in groans and fears
when friends depart and leave us here.
Since Christ the head of our salvation
has smoothed the way by expiation.
