Oak Hill Cemetery was established in 1842 and is located at State and Parker Streets in Newburyport. The best way to get there is to go up State Street and take a right into the entry drive across from Greenleaf Street. The drive winds past a few homes and behind the mausoleum to the entry gate. See it's location and get directions at Yahoo Maps. Index of Names.
Left Stone:
Mary E. Horton Wife of Rev. Wm. Horton D.D. died November 19, 1879 aged 73 yrs. "He giveth his beloved sleep." Right Stone: Anna our beloved daughter and only child I am the Resurrection and the Life; he that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die." Just as I am without one plea, But that Thy blood was shed for me, And that Thou bidst me come to Thee O! Lamb of God I come. Left Stone: Mary E. Horton Wife of Rev. Wm.
