The Old South Cemetery aka Boston Street Cemetery aka Trask Cemetery is located on Main Street in Peabody near the Peabody/Salem town line and was established in 1689. At the time this cemetery was established this area was part of Salem Village until 1752 when it became Danvers, then until 1855 when it became Peabody. Sacred To the Memory of Betsy Farnham who died May 7, 1887 Aged 49. In Memory of Cap. Daniel Frye who died Nov. 23 AD 1813 in the 57 year of his age. Weep not for me surviving friends, I've left a world of toil and pains. But you a few more pains must have, Then sleep like me in a cold grave.
