The Old South Cemetery aka Boston Street Cemetery aka Trask Cemetery is located on Main Street in Peabody near the Peabody/Salem town line and was established in 1689. At the time this cemetery was established this area was part of Salem Village until 1752 when it became Danvers, then until 1855 when it became Peabody. In memory of the Rev'd Nathan Holt AM pator of the 2d Church in Danvers who reted from his labors Augt 2d 1792 in the 68th year of his age & 34th of his minitry Piety, benevolence, integrity & pru dence were prominent features in his character as a man, & a miniter. He lived beloved & died lamented. Mark the perfect man and behold the upright for the end of that man is peace.
