The Old South Cemetery aka Boston Street Cemetery aka Trask Cemetery is located on Main Street in Peabody near the Peabody/Salem town line and was established in 1689. At the time this cemetery was established this area was part of Salem Village until 1752 when it became Danvers, then until 1855 when it became Peabody. Erected To the Memory of Mrs. Thankful Mackintire wife of Mr. Solomon Mackintire who died March 17, 1827; aged 35 years. ?????????? This humble monument is erected to the memory of Mr. Joƒeph Perry ƒon of the late Revd Joƒeph Perry & Sarah his wife of haƒ? Winƒor ƒtate of Connecticut Who after a painful illness borne with chriƒtian fortitude & compoƒure of mind died March 29th 1786 Aged 29 years Bleƒƒed are the dead who die in the Lord For the end of that man is peace.
