Salisbury Point Cemetery is listed as being established in 1788 and is located on Clark's Road (behind Burger King on Rte 110) in Amesbury. The location the cemetery is on was formerly part of Salisbury. The town of Salisbury was incorporated in 1638. Amesbury was incorporated in 1668 but settled in 1642. This area was called Salisbury Point and was part of Salisbury until it was incorporated into Amesbury 1886. See it's location and get directions at Yahoo Maps. Mrs. Sarah Curtis died Sept. 21, 1840; in her 56th year Thou art gone to the grave, ??? longer be??? thee, Nor tread the rough paths of the world by ??? side; But the wide arms of mercy are spread to infold thee, And sinners may hope, since the sinless hath died. Reuben Edwards died Augt. 18th 1809; aged 49. Lois, his wife died April 8th 1803; aged 43 Alas for thee the fount of tears Hath pour'd its crystal tide, And the lov'd voice of early years In vain thy name hath sighed.
